“Dance in a burning house”

Good morning or Good Evening

I share with you my little work-such a surprise. The first time my drawings are in print.

Case exactly applies to three drawings. Ballerina that you already know in an earlier entry, and two drawings that adorn the cover of the book of poetry of my colleague Patrick Muszynski called “Dance in a burning house”. A book I highly recommend, you can get a smile and slip into reverie.

But back to the drawings, this time were created in several stages. At the beginning there were a few sketches you relinquish your to the requester. Then the tentative and flame coloring, yes, yes, the rest remained in the sketch. Only after acceptance of the color and appearance of the flames was coloring the rest. And here’s another surprise, this time I coloring from left to right;).

The drawings were created from the general to the detail – because a lot of things conceiving on a regular basis. As soon as it was formed back cover. It is much easier, while the front cover has a lot more details. All the changes were kept fixed with Patrick, which gave me more comfort – I was more calm, that the end result will be good for the people who ordered the drawings.

When it comes to coloring technique, I try overlap color short strokes of crayons, which gave me more control over the end result. Usually I used three to four crayons of similar color, just to get the play of light. On the other hand, where I missed the range of crayons (darker areas) I helped to soft pencils.

To perform a drawing I used pencils for hardness range 8B-2 h and crayons from the same manufacturer (a lot of crayons), while the whole thing I posted on paper weighing 120 g/m2 (56 lbs) A4.

Most problems in a picture:

  • plan where they have to find the different elements, that is, string arrangement
  • stress associated with acceptance of drawings
  • shading colors (this is much more difficult than I thought)

The drawing is made on the basis of my imagination

The drawing also available in gallery 2018 (With my head)
