Portrait of a boy

Hello Everyone,

Today’s drawing is a portrait of a boy, you’re not mistaken, it’s all in colour – it adds this way of drawing to my capabilities. I got a free hand on the timing of the drawing.

I personally gave myself an ultimatum – I have to finish it in a month but… I finished it in three. Here I have to say never again, there is no pain, the maximum period is a month. You’re gonna ask why? Normally I got lazy. Of course not in this case, these were other reasons such as my health condition and a lot of work (professional) hence the long period of time. The customer liked the drawing and you liked it ?

Drawing was created in several stages, because I am learning all the time.On separate sheets of paper I created a fragment of a drawing for a test. It takes a long time to find the best crayons to render the real colors. At the end of the drawing there was progress, I was no longer drawing fragments, but only mixing different crayons to get the right color.

To perform a drawing I used pencils for hardness range 8B-2 h and crayons from the same manufacturer (a lot of crayons), while the whole thing I posted on paper weighing 120 g/m2 (56 lbs) A4.

Most problems in a picture:

  • I still don’t have enough crayons – I sometimes lack the right colour saturation of colour
  • overlapping several colours in the same workplace
  • distribution of the drawing in time

The drawing made on the basis of a photograph by me
